The early Gothic church is built in the second half of the thirteenth century, being its oldest reference from the time of king D . Dinis. The construction of the current parish church, is from the sixteenth century, based on the Renaissance style, with three naves supported by four Tuscan columns , where regional schist predominates.
The pediment is decorated with a tile panel and headed by a Cross of the Order of Christ, representative of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. The main altar, composed of gilded woodcarvings, shows two wooden sculptures representing St. Augustine and Santa Monica. Its interior is decorated with artistic decorations of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and eight side chapels.
